On Friday night a 17 year teen was killed by a drunk driver when she died in a crash at West 76th Avenue and Wadsworth Boulevard.
Investigators say that Lyneah Dike died in a crash when a drunk driver hit the car she was riding in.
The accident happened at around 7.30 p.m. when Lyneah, who was the passenger and her best friend, Lyndsey Petrie, were driving on Wadsworth when a truck driven by David Bunn, 54, travelling southbound at high speed, veered across several lanes of traffic and then collided head on the girls’ red Mustang.
Lyneah died at the scene and Lyndsey, aged 18, went to the hospital with serious injuries to her legs and pelvis. Bunn was also taken to hospital and is said to be recovering from minor injuries. Police say Bunn had been drinking and was more than twice over the legal limit. They said he will be arrested and charged once he is released from hospital.
