On Thursday night a single vehicle crash left one person dead and three others seriously injured.
According to Aurora Police Department, the crash happened at about 8 p.m. in the 13600 block of East Alameda Avenue. An Audi which was traveling east on Alameda lost control, went over a curb and ran into a tree.
The female driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name and age were not released. Three males in the car were taken to local hospitals with serious injuries. They are all expected to survive.
Aurora Police said that it appeared that neither the driver nor the passengers were wearing their seat belts, and the investigation had revealed that speed appears to have been a factor in the crash. At this time they are awaiting the results of toxicology to determine whether alcohol or drugs contributed to the crash.
