An auto accident involving an automobile and a motorcycle resulted in the death of one man just days ago.
A 52 year-old man was killed when the motorcycle he was riding was struck by a car or on Highway 2 last Friday. According to published reports, A Dodge Neon was traveling in the southbound direction of Highway 2 when it lost control and collided with a man driving a black Yamaha motorcycle in the northbound lane. The driver of the Neon, a 16 year-old female, was taken to Denver Health Medical Center after suffering critical injuries in the crash. She is reported to be in serious condition. Two additional 16 year-old passengers, both males, were taken to Children’s Hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
The motorcyclist was transported to Denver Health Medical Center, and later died from his injuries.
Police say that alcohol and the speed the vehicles were traveling both appear to have been factors in the crash, though they would not elaborate on how they came to such a conclusion.
