On Saturday morning, two people were injured in a single vehicle crash to the east of Greeley.
According to authorities, the crash happened shortly after 11:30 a.m. about four miles east of Greeley on Weld County Road 51, just south of Weld County Road 62 ½. Although the circumstances of the accident are not yet clear, a two door Scion being driven by a 28 year old man, and carrying two passengers was in a single vehicle accident.
The driver of the vehicle was seriously injured and was taken by helicopter to North Colorado Medical Center. One of the two passengers was also seriously injured and was transported to a medical facility.
The road was closed while authorities cleared the wreckage and began their investigation. The road was reopened at around 1 p.m. on Saturday.
